William Jr. Stark, 76, of Pleasanton, Kansas, died Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Mercy Health Center, Fort Scott, Kansas. He was born March 22, 1930 at Boicourt, Kansas, the son of William Ray and Edna Sherman Stark. He was a veteran, serving with the United States Army. He married Joan Rusell on September 17, 1958 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was employed as a pipe fitter prior to his retirement and was a member of the Pipe fitters Union Local #250 . He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kevin Stark, an infant daughter, Fanny Love and two sisters, Lois Lewis and Deanna Adams. Survivors include his wife, Joan of Pleasanton, Kansas; his step-father, Clarence Calvin of LaCygne, Kansas; one son, William Stark Jr. of Pleasanton, Kansas; a step-daughter, Charla Holt of Fontana, Kansas; four brothers, Ben Stark of Mound City, Kansas; Bob Stark of LaCygne, Kansas; Larry Calvin of Raymore, Missouri and Gary Calvin of Holden, Missouri; three sisters, Nadine Dobbin of Whittier, California, Janice Brewster of Grandview, Missouri and Judy Lee of Holt, Missouri; grandchildren, Amy, Tara, Amanda, Billy, Jason, Stephanie, Jeff and James and great grandchildren, Lillian and Kaylee. Mr. Stark was cremated. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 9, 2007 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Pleasanton, Kansas. Contributions are suggested to the Arthritis Foundation.
