William Major Rhodes, 63, of Mound City, Kansas, died Friday, December 28, 2007, doing what he loved best, goose hunting. He was born July 28, 1944 in Shawnee, Kansas, the son of William and Ida Pearl Howard Rhodes. He graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School. Bill owned and operated the Capitol Body shop in Mound City. He had a passion for goose hunting and was a member of Ducks Unlimited. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his son, Darey W. Rhodes & Angela of Mound City, Kansas; his daughter, Dawn Elaina Hagerty & Mike of Shawnee, Kansas; and his grandchildren, Mike Jr., Brad and Jesslyn. A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Mound City, Kansas. Mr. Rhodes will be cremated following the visitation.
