William Lane Sr.

William George Lane Sr., age 66 of Middleburg, Florida died Tuesday February 24, 2009 at Centerville, Kansas. He was born December 23, 1942 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the son of William and Doris Wolfe Lane. He served his country with the United States Coast Guard. He was employed with Florida Fisheries and Wildlife as a game warden. He was a member of the Police Benevolent Association. He was preceded his death by his father. Survivors include his mother, Doris Clark of Orange Park, Florida; one son, William George Lane Jr. of Ridgecrest, California; one daughter, Lisa Craven of Middleburg, Florida; and three grandchildren, William, Audrey and Ashley. As per Mr. Lane's wishes, he was cremated. A private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements: Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home Mound City Kansas.
