William Cantrell

William Olen "Bill" Cantrell, age 77, of Blue Mound, Kansas passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at the Olathe Medical Center. Bill was born November 10, 1939 in Wister, Oklahoma to John William and Louellen (Hopkins) Cantrell. Bill enjoyed keeping busy by doing paint and auto body work, working in his yard, especially the garden, and doing woodwork. On January 15, 1980, Bill married Marie Blasengyn. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Debra Ann Cantrell; and daughter-in-law, Lori Cantrell. He is survived by his wife Marie; two sons, Randall and Russell; three daughters, Ronda Morris, Regina Sailor, and Christania Scott; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and his best buddy, "Trooper". Visitation will be Friday, September 29, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. A funeral service for Bill will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Blue Mound Federated Church. Burial will follow in Sunny Slope Cemetery, Blue Mound.
