William Baldwin

William E. "Bill" Baldwin, 57, of Hume, Missouri, died Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Pratt Regional Medical Center, Pratt, Kansas. He was born November 30, 1953 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Franklin and Jean Frances Wood Baldwin. He was a graduate of Pleasanton High School, Pleasanton, Kansas. He married Dixie Hess on September 8, 1978. Bill worked as a project manager for Carlson Construction. He was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law, Ephraim "E.W." Hess, whom he considered as his own father, and two brothers, Kenny and Dale Baldwin. Survivors include his wife, Dixie of the home; two sons, James Baldwin and Pamela of Carthage, Missouri and Blaine Baldwin and Mary of Butler, Missouri; three brothers, Franklin Baldwin of Olathe, Kansas; Lloyd Baldwin and Rick Baldwin, both of Plesanton, Kansas; his grandchildren, Kathryn Lane Baldwin, Elizabeth "Izzy" Wonnel Baldwin and Carlee Lyn Baldwin, sisters-in-law, Esther Thurman & Ken and Harriett Cheek & David Barnes and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 7, 2011 at the Independence Cemetery, Hume, Missouri. Visitation will be from 3-5 PM, Sunday at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Pleasanton, Kansas. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Touch Point Autism Services c/o Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home.
