Willard Sylva

Willard Sylva Willard Gene Sylva, age 77, of La Cygne, Kansas died Wednesday October 3, 2007 at his home in La Cygne, KS. He was born September 27, 1930 in Missouri, the son of Roy and Bertha Marie Huffman Sylva. He was preceded in death by his wife Gwenola Miller and a son Billy Sylva, a daughter Carol Vongunton, and a grandson, Scott Nash. He is survived by four daughters, Jeanie Lairson, Lindon, Utah, Georgia Lee, Discovery Bay, California, Kay Davey, Louisburg, Kansas, Brenda Johnson, La Cygne, Kansas, Four brothers, Ray, R.J. Mick, and Danny, one sister, Barbara, fifteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 6, 2007 at Oak Lawn Cemetery, La Cygne, Kansas. No formal visitation, Mr. Sylva will lie in state after 2:00 P.M. Friday at the chapel.
