Wanda Ross

Wanda June Ross, 89, of Fort Scott, Kansas, formerly of Blue Mound, Kansas, died Monday, February 01, 2010 at Prescott Countryview Nursing Home, Prescott, Kansas. She was born July 27, 1920 in Centerville, Kansas, the daughter of Arthur and Mabel Zimmerman Richards. She was a 1938 graduate of Parker High School. On January 27, 1947, she married Floyd Ross. He preceded her in death on September 5, 2009. Wanda worked for the Linn County ASCS office prior to her retirement. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Fort Scott, Kansas, the National Association Retired Federal Employees and the Westbury Homes Association. She was preceded in death also by her parents and two brothers, Lloyd Marvin Richards and Cecil L. Richards. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Mound City, Kansas. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time. Memorial contributions are suggested to the First United Methodist Church, Fort Scott, Kansas. Interment will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Blue Mound, Kansas.
