Walter Cooke

Walter Eugene "Gene" Cooke was born May 19, 1920 at Fort Scott, Kansas the son of Ray and Frances Galvin Cooke. He passed away June 30, 2007 at the Indian Creek Nursing Center in Overland Park, Kansas. He owned and operated the Schlitz Beer Distributorship in Kansas City, Topeka and Lawrence. Gene was a Navy veteran of WWII. He married Lenore Clark who preceded him in death November 11, 2001. Graveside Services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday July 5, 2007 at the Fairview Cemetery in Fulton, Kansas. Cotribution may be made to the Heart Assoc. or Cancer Society. Services are under the direction of Coffel Schneider Funeral Home at Pleasanton, Kansas
