Wallace E. McGee, age 81, Ottawa, Kansas formerly of Kincaid, Kansas passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014. He was born on October 28, 1933 at Blue Mound, Kansas the son of Warren and Elsie Morrell McGee. He graduated from Blue Mound High School. After graduation, he served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He married Lillie King on February 14, 1960 at Nowata, Oklahoma. Wallace was a farmer and stockman. He was a member of the Kincaid, Kansas VFW. He and Lillie served as 4H leaders for many years in Blue Mound and Kincaid. Wallace was a man of deep faith. He served as a Sunday School Teacher and Deacon. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Earnest and Richard. He is survived by his wife, Lillie, son, David McGee and wife LeAnn, daughter, Donita Beers and husband Daron, brother, Leonard McGee, sister, Ada Grace Gray, five grandchildren: Jacob and Dacia Torneden, Courtney Beers and Jeremy and Stacy McGee, and two great grandchildren, Justin Gills and Bryce McGee, and many extended family and friends. Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, November 14,2014 at the Wall Street Christian Church near Mound City, Kansas. Burial will be in the Sunny Slope Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Thursday at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Ransom Memorial Hospital or Midland Hospice, c/o Schneider Funeral Home, P.O. Box J, Mound City, KS 66056.
