Vivian Myers

Vivian Myers, 87, of Prescott, Kansas, died Monday, October 4, 2010 at Country View Nursing Home, Prescott, Kansas. She was born June 3, 1923 in May View, Missouri, the daughter of John and Bessie Huffman Walters. She married Homer G. Myers who preceded her in death on February 27, 1973. Vivian was employed as a nurse's aide for several local nursing homes, prior to her retirement. She was preceded in death also by her parents, one brother, Freddy Walters and one sister, Beverly Oswald. Survivors include two sons; Homer "Buddie" Myers of Cadmus, Kansas and Larry Myers of Hume, Missouri; one daughter, Loretta Brown of Mound City, Kansas; two brothers, Donald and James Walters; three sisters, Betty Dutcher, Mary Laudan and Alita Renz; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the National Cemetery, Mound City, Kansas. Contributions are suggested to the Prescott Country View Nursing Home or American Lung Association.
