Virginia Masoner

Virginia Lee Masoner, age 76, Chanute, Kansas formerly of Mound City, Kansas passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018. She was born at Fort Scott, Kansas on August 17, 1942 the daughter of Leon and Virginia Brown Walker. She graduated from Uniontown High School. On January 22, 1971, she married Charlie Masoner. He preceded her in death on October 5, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents. She worked in the Linn County District Court office for several years. Virginia is survived by a son Dallas Masoner and wife Mindi, a daughter, Jo Ermel and husband Jim; five grandhildren: Lacy Daily, Chase Ermel. Jacy Walker, Sierra Masoner and Rhyan Masoner; and nine great grandchildren: Maya, Kennedy, Blayke and Berkley Walker, Charly and Khody Daily, and Tinley, Creed and Crue Ermel.


The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. Burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time at the Mound City Chapel. The family suggests contributions to Hope Lodge, c/o Schneider Funeral Home, Box J, Mound City, KS 66056.
