Tyler Hayden

January 20, 1989 — August 23, 2022

Beloved son, grandson, nephew and friend, Tyler Kevin Hayden (Ty), age thirty-three, Kansas City, Missouri (Waldo) passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022.

He was born on January 20, 1989 in Fort Scott, Kansas the son of Kevin and Amy (Marcum) Hayden. He was raised in Paola and graduated High School in the Class of 2007. He attended Baker University majoring in Computer Science before transferring to Kansas University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering. Ty enjoyed living in Waldo and loved his neighbors and the community. Being with friends, online gaming, Thai food and anything Tech were his passions. Ty was brilliant, quirky, funny and loved his cat Ernie. Those who knew him are aware that he was fearless and stubborn in his beliefs, desires, and the support of those he loved. God took him much sooner than we wanted. Life is short, love people fearlessly.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, George Marcum, Jr., of Critzer, KS and his paternal grandparents Floyd and Jeanne Hayden of Opolis, KS.  Tyler is survived by his parents, Amy and Kevin Hayden, grandmother, Jane Marcum, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Please go to Ty’s Facebook page or refer to this website  for future service details.
