Thomas Brown

Thomas E. "Tom" Brown, 76, of Mound City, Kansas, died Monday, October 25, 2010 at his home. He was born November 22, 1933 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Harry and Perylie Kelly Brown. He married Loretta Myers on January 1, 1962 at Mound City, Kansas. He was employed at the LaCygne Power Plant prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Laborers Union Local #1290 and the Pleasanton VFW. He enjoyed singing, fishing and hunting and working in his yard. He was preceded in death by his parents; eight brothers, Andy, John, Clinton, Joe, Fred, Bill, Clifford and infant brother, Charles; three sisters, Alma Sanders, Evelyn Marmon and Lena Craig. Survivors include his wife, Loretta of the home, two daughters, Sandy Scott & Mike of Trading Post, Kansas and Beverly Scott & Steve of Fort Scott, Kansas; one sister, Virgie McKim; three grandsons, three granddaughters; two great grandsons and two great granddaughters. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Green Valley Cemetery, Pleasanton, Kansas. Contributions are suggested to the charity of choice.
