Thomas Seth Arnold age 94 of Pleasanton, Kansas died Saturday September 17, 2005 at Mercy Health Center in Fort Scott, Kansas. He was born on April 16, 1911 at Roxbury, Kansas the son of Robert and Katie Hodges Arnold. He worked in the coal mines for Hume Sinclair before retiring. He married Rhoda Arnold on February 18, 1935; she preceded him in death on December 25, 2004. Also preceding were: two daughters Sarah Mae Lounsbury and Dorothy Mead; three brothers: John, Phillip, and Steve; one sister Amy Guthridge and one grandson Kirk Carpenter. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Pleasanton, Masonic Lodge, Mirza Temple, Scottish Rite Consistory, Order of the Eastern Star and United Mine Workers. He is survived by his son Robert Arnold and wife Margaret of Greenfield, Missouri; daughter Dorothy Haggard and husband Ralph of Raytown, Missouri; two brothers; Emory Arnold of Fort Scott, Kansas and Glenn Arnold of Pleasanton, Kansas; fourteen grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 PM Tuesday September 20, 2005 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel in Pleasanton, Kansas. Burial in the Littell Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the Pleasanton First Christian Church or the Littell Cemetery.
