Thelma Troth

Thelma Mae Troth, age 93, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away Sunday December 8, 2013 at her home of seventy four years after being under the care of her faithful daughter Carolyn for the past two years. Thelma was born on April 5, 1920 in the Wall St. Area near Mound City, Kansas the daughter of Ira and Etta Parks Paddock. She married Earl S. Troth on July 30, 1939. He preceded her in death on January 13, 1988. Her many years as a farm wife and loving homemaker brought sheer enjoyment to her life. She was also preceded in death by a daughter in law, Marilyn Troth, grandson Eric Pfeffer, parents, and three sisters: Nellie Cowel, Cleta Barrett, and Edna Vaughn Holsman. She was a member of the Pleasanton First Christian Church, C.W.F., served as a Sunday School Teacher, and was a former member of the Grange. She is survived by four children: Marion Troth and wife Colleen, Ernest Troth and wife Edna, Carolyn Epps and husband David, and Donald Troth and wife Charlotte, twelve grand and twenty-one great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 11 AM Friday December 13, 2013 at the Pleasanton First Christian Church. Burial will be in the Pleasanton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Thursday at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.
