Terry Smith

Terry Don Smith, age 66, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at St. Luke''s Hospital on the Plaza. He was born on September 19, 1949 at Stroud, Oklahoma the son of Olen and Jewel Wood Smith. He married Charlene George on February 9, 1979. He was most recently employed by the Linn County Road Maintenance Department. He was very active in the Masonic Lodge, being a member at Pleasanton and transferring membership to Mound City. He served as past master. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Joe Smith, and a sister, Madeline Slaughter. He is survived by his wife, Charlene, two sons, Kenny and Travis Smith, a brother John Smith, two sisters, Bobbie Beasley and Sherry Nelson and his grandchildren. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the Schneider Pleasanton Chapel. Burial in the Trading Post Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Pleasanton Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Shriner''s Children Hospital.
