Terry Burris

Terry Lee Burris, 51, of Mound City, Kansas died on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Terry was born in Jackson County, Missouri on December 12, 1963 to Carl Edwin and Leota Vondell (Adams) Burris. He worked as a roofer. Terry was a man who enjoyed being outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, riding his 4-wheeler, camping, and canoeing. But his favorite activity was swimming with his kids. Terry was preceded in death by his father; three brothers, Joseph Burris, Steven Burris and Jimmy Burris; and one sister, Christine Burris. Terry is survived by his wife, Ashley Burris of the home; two sons, Nicholas Kelly and Jack Kelly; three daughters, Ashley Burris, Rowan Burris, and Haylie Kelly; his mother, Leota Burris; and two brothers, Carl Burris and Allen Burris. Terry was cremated according to his wishes. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
