Shirley Stogsdill

Shirley Ann Stogsdill, 75, of Pleasanton, Kansas, died Friday, July 6, 2012 at her home. She was born November 3, 1936 in Lazere, Colorado, the daughter of Oliver and June Willis McGown. Shirley graduated from Mound City High School. She married Paul Stogsdill on July 2, 1955 at Raton, New Mexico. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Mound City, Kansas. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Robert, Gilbert and Frank McGown; four sisters; Wilma Neal, Violet Craig, Dora Siegfried and Thelma Stogsdill and a grandson, Justin Stogsdill. Survivors include her husband, Paul of the home; two sons; Gregory Stogsdill of Pleasanton, Kansas and Michael Stogsdill & Sally of Knoxville, Tennessee; two daughters; Ramona Holland and Keith and Shirlene Johnson and Dean, all of Prescott, Kansas; two sisters, Loree Long and Margaret Allison; five grandchildren; Jennifer, Jason, Tricia Mickayla and Kyle and five great grandchildren; Christian Raven, Mercedes, Trysta, Alexis and Axel. Services will be held at 7:00 PM, Monday, July 9, 2012 at the Schneider Funeral Home & Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM, Monday. Cremation with inurnment in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Mound City, Kansas. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shirley Stogsdill Memorial Fund c/of the funeral home.
