Shirley Blevins

Shirley Jean Blevins, 73, of Pleasanton, Kansas died Friday, November 16, 2007 at her home. She was born November 10, 1934 in Weir, Kansas the daughter of Carl and Nell Lucas Herring. She graduated from Pleasanton High School and worked as a secretary at the school for a number of years. She was also co-owner of the Western Auto Store in Pleasanton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rayford Blevins and one sister, Kay McLaughin. Survivors include her son, Norman Blevins of Pittsburg, Kansas; her daughter, Raye Ann Baker of Olathe, Kansas, one grandson, Chris Baker and two great grandchildren, Madison and Jackson. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 19, 2007 at the Pleasanton Cemetery, Pleasanton, Kansas. Visitation will be from 5-6 PM, Sunday at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home, Pleasanton. Contributions are suggested to the Pleasanton Cemetery Association.
