Shawn Kenney

Shawn Kenney, 75, of Kansas City, Missouri, died Friday, February 11, 2011 at St. Luke's East Hospital, Lee's Summit, Missouri. He was born May 10, 1935 in Gardner, Kansas, the son of Grey A. and Melva Brasfield Kenney. He graduated from Topeka High School. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Raytown, Missouri and served with the National Guard. He married Nadine Pease on July 31, 1993 at the First Baptist Church, Raytown, Missouri. He was employed as a manufacturer's representative for office equipment prior to his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Esther Ruth Kane. Survivors include his wife, Nadine of the home; two step-sons; David Fritts and wife, Karen and their son, Jack; Dan Fritts and wife, Mary Lou, and their children; Abigail, Emma, Grace, Lillian, Kara and Naomi and husband, Joe; Ben and wife, Kate and their children, Isac, Leala andEden; two daughters, Diana Perry and husband, Jason and their children, Shawna and James and Melanie Mitchell and husband, Mike and their children, Cory and Alexis; two brothers, Bob Perkins and Delbert Kenney and one brother-in-law, Ken Kane Sr. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews which he loved. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Oak Lawn Cemetery, LaCygne, Kansas.
