Sharon Elaine McKinley, age 84, Hume, Missouri passed away Monday, February 13, 2023.
Sharon Elaine (Morrow) McKinley was born November 2nd, 1938, in Bates County, to Fay and Aileen (Snyder) Morrow. Sharon was the oldest of nine children, and the family resided in the country on the family farm outside Adrian. She graduated from Adrian High School in 1957. She was united in marriage to Cecil Ray McKinley Jr., on September 15th, 1957.
From this union they created three children, Anthony (Tony) Ray McKinley, Timothy (Tim) Fay McKinley, and Margaret Elaine (McKinley) Sears. Sharon worked various jobs, Western Electric (Southwestern Bell), Bass Busters, Hume store, Hume Elevator, the McKinley Farm, and retired from the Bates County Hospital. Sharon and Junior moved from the farm to town, Hume, and later built a house where they spent their final days.
Sharon enjoyed reading, mowing the yard and taking a yearly vacation with Junior. She loved spending time with her kids and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Fay and Aileen Morrow, two sisters, Brenda Nelson, and Sandy Callahan, one brother Neil Morrow, three brothers in laws; John Ramage, Larry Pulliam, and Robert Disselhoff. Her Husband Cecil McKinley Jr, who passed March 22nd, 2022.
She is survived by her children: Anthony McKinley and wife Mary, Timothy McKinley and wife Karen, Margaret Sears and Husband Kent. Grandchildren: Kenny McKinley and wife Debi, Stephanie and Chris Chaplin, Kristopher Sears and partner Heaven, Tori sears. Great Grandchildren: Skylar and Dawson Chaplin, Christa Chaplin and family, and Matt Caplin and family, Tryus and Tytan Guinn Great, Great Grandchildren: Sidnee, Layknn and Kuper Moore.
Funeral service will be 11 am Monday, February 20, 2023 at the Hume Christian Church. Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 pm Sunday, February 19, at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.
