Scott Schmelzla

Scott Edward Schmelzla, 50, of Pittsburg, Kansas, died Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Mt. Carmel Hospital, Pittsburg. He was born September 24, 1958 at Fort Scott, Kansas, the son of Gerald and Doris Jean Giesken Schmelzla. He graduated from Fort Scott High School and was employed with the City of Pittsburg street department. Scott enjoyed fishing and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include one sister, Susan Roberts and husband, Ron of Prescott, Kansas. Graveside memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 14, 2009 at the Pleasanton Cemetery, Pleasanton, Kansas. Contributions are suggested to the Pleasanton Cemetery Association.
