Sarah Amel Pound, 94, of Mound City, Kansas, died Monday, March 26, 2007 at Fort Scott Manor Nursing Home, Fort Scott, Kansas. She was born August 23, 1912 in Roodhouse, Illinois, the daughter of Frederick b. and Biddie Calhoun Howard. She married Gerald Pound on June 16, 1970 at Miami Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on September 13, 1989. She was a homemaker. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 30, 2007 at National Cemetery Soldier's Plot, Mound City, Kansas. Contributions are suggested to Hospice Care of Kansas. Arrangements are under the direction of the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home, Mound City, Kansas.
