Ruth Stone

Ruth Ellen Stone, 74, of Centerville, Kansas, formerly of Wichita, Kansas, died Monday, January 23, 2012 at her home. She was born July 23, 1937 in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Marion Andrew and Dorothy Ross Van Laningham. She married Ernest Stone who preceded her in death. Ruth worked for a number of years in the Wichita School system as a Paraprofessional. She was preceded in death also by her parents a son, Michael Stone, two brothers, a sister, and two granddaughters. Survivors include two sons; Glenn Stone and Tina of Sunbury, North Carolina and Scott Stone and Daphne of Wichita, Kansas; five daughters; Patricia Vaughn and Mitch of Wichita, Kansas; Cindy Hutchison and Chris of Centerville, Kansas; Vicki Burress and Jim of Roswell, New Mexico, Debra Kiser and Terry of Hiattville, Kansas and Lynda "Kay" O'Bryan and John of Mulvane, Kansas; four brothers, Ted Kenneth, Roger, and Dean Van Laningham;, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 1100 AM, Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the Greenwood Cemetery, Oatville, Kansas (Wichita Kansas Area).
