Ruth Maloney

Ruth Maloney, age 76, of Mound City, Kansas passed away Saturday June 19, 2010 at Mercy Hospital in Fort Scott, Kansas. She was born July 21, 1933 at Blue Mound, Kansas the daughter of Marion Ray and Viola Evelyn Ruby Johnson. Ruth graduated from Mound City High School, She married Lloyd George Maloney. Ruth was a cook at the Sugar Valley Nursing Home in Mound City. She was a member of the Mound City Federated Church. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband George in April of 1979, also her parent's three brothers; Thomas "Buck" Johnson, Raymond Johnson, Chuck Johnson and two sisters; Dorothy Clearwater and Maxine Thomas. Survivors in include three sons George Maloney of Mound City; Marion Maloney and wife Donna of League City, Texas; Robert Maloney of Mound City; two daughters Pam Keating and husband Jerry of Forney, Texas; Kathy Craven and husband David of Lenexa, Kansas; one brother Edward Johnson of Mound City, Kansas, one sister Edna Skinner of Paola, Kansas; seven grandchildren Marty Keating, Jerrod Keating, Amanda Maloney, Larry Maloney, Mathew Maloney, Mary Maloney, Marsha Maloney and one great granddaughter Tegan Maloney. Services will be 10:00am Wednesday June 23, 2010 at the Cofffel-Schneider Chapel in Mound City. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 PM Tuesday evening.
