Ruby Matlock

Ruby Mae Bush Matlock, age 87 of Mound City, Kansas died Tuesday May 15, 2012 at the Saint Luke's Hospital in Lee's Summit, Missouri. She was born on September 9, 1924 at Cassville, Missouri the daughter of Willard and Lucy Cline Farris. Ruby married Edward Bush and to this union six children were born, she then married Ken Matlock he preceded her in death on August 6, 2008. Ruby spent many years babysitting in the Mound City area. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mound City, Kansas. She was also preceded by her parents, two daughters Barbara Sue, and Patsy Lou Bush, a son David Bush and two brothers Cecil Farris and Charles Cline. Survivors include two sons; Charles Bush of Afton, Oklahoma, and Ronald Bush of Olathe, Kansas, a daughter Diana Bush, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, three sisters Betty Jessip, Velma Peterson, and Erma Bauer, eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday May 21, 2012 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory Mound City Chapel. Visitation will be held from 1:00 Pm to service time at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Littell Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the Ruby Matlock memorial fund and may be left in C/O the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory P.O.
