Ruby Clay

Ruby Mae Clay, 71, of Blue Mound, Kansas, died Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at Mercy Health Center, Fort Scott, Kansas. She was born July 8, 1940 at Blue Mound, Kansas, the daughter of Theodore and Jessie Rosier Russell. She married Charles Clay on October 29, 1960 at Mound City Kansas. He preceded her in death on July 1, 2006. Ruby was a member of the Federated Church, Blue Mound, Kansas. She loved animals, enjoyed crafts and flowers and the outdoors. She was preceded in death also by her parents; and two brothers, James and Carl Russell. Survivors include her son; Charles Preston Clay & Diane of Fort Scott, Kansas; two daughters, Doretta Neville and David of Fort Scott, Kansas and Carla Leavitt and Bill of Mound City, Kansas; one brother, Dean Russell of Twin Falls, Idaho; one sister, Mary Beth of Blue Mound, Kansas; and three grandchildren; Kayla Ledford & Mark of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Megan Elizabeth and Nathan William Leavitt, both of Mound City, Kansas. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the Federated Church, Blue Mound, Kansas. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to service time. Contributions are suggested to Gideons International. Interment will be in the Sunny Slope Cemetery, Blue Mound, Kansas.
