Roy Staton

Roy M. Staton, 67 passed away Thursday August 27, 2009 at his beloved farm. Roy was born March 11, 1942. Youngest son of Curly and Edith Martin Staton. He married his wife Pansy Purdy July 22, 1968. He leaves his wife, Pansy; two sisters Delyte Cantwell and Zella Baston, and one brother Roscoe, one stepson Ed Yager and one granddaughter Tricia Yager, several nieces and nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Virginia Cox, Rosemary Johnson, and Oralee Troth and an infant brother Dallas. He was a veteran, having served with the United States Air Force. He worked at TWA for 32 years retiring in 2000. His favorite pastimes were visiting with his family and many friends, parades, and spending time at the farm. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 31, 2009 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Pleasanton, Kansas. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM, Sunday at the chapel. Contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association. Interment will be in the Pleasanton Cemetery.
