Roxanne Cox

Roxanne Marie Cox, 56, of Pleasanton, Kansas, died Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Mercy Health Center, Fort Scott, Kansas. She was born October 23, 1955 in Fort Scott, Kansas, the daughter of James D. Walrod Jr. and Rose Marie Carvo Walrod. She was employed as a claims adjuster for Cigna Insurance. Roxanne married Dave Cox on August 4, 1975 at Mound City, Kansas. She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Tony Walrod. Survivors include her husband, Dave Cox of Pleasanton, Kansas; one son; Craig Cox of Mound City, Kansas; one daughter; Julie Bates of Pleasanton, Kansas; five brothers; Richard, David, Don, James Walrod III and Joseph Walrod; one sister, Carol Cole and grandchildren; Michael Newton Cox, Leelo Cox and Madyson Cox. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 12, 2012 at the Schneider Funeral Home, Pleasanton Chapel, Pleasanton, Kansas. Visitation will be from 3-5 PM, Sunday at the Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Interment will be in the Pleasanton Cemetery, Pleasanton, Kansas.
