Rose Walrod

Rose Marie Walrod, age 88 a resident of Pleasanton, Kansas died Friday January 15, 2010 at the Prescott Country View Nursing home at Prescott, Kansas. She was born January 13, 1922 in Yakima Washington Rose married James D. Walrod Jr. on June 3, 1942, he preceded her in death on August 29, 2001, also preceding her in death is a son Dewight A. (Tony) Walrod, a granddaughter Debbi Walrod , three brothers; George, Lloyd, and Everett, Carvo, and a sister; Berniece Canter. Rose was the oldest of seven children of Joseph and Stella Faulkner Carvo. She was a homemaker, and mother of eight children, she also worked for Braemoor Garment Co. for seventeen years in Pleasanton, Kansas. Rose is survived by James D. Walrod IIIand wife Karen of San Diego, California, Joyce Worcester(daughter-in-law) of Hiawatha, Kansas, Richard Walrod and wife Nellie of Parker, Arizona, Joe Walrod of Liberty, Missouri, Don Walrod and wife Shelli Of Cherokee, Kansas, David Walrod and wife Rita of Pleasanton, Kansas, Roxeanna Cox and husband Dave, Carol and Bob Cole all of Pleasanton, Kansas,a brother, Delbert Carvo and a sister, Ramona Tudor, Many grand and great grandchildren, relatives, and Friends. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday January 21, 2010 at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home Pleasanton, Kansas. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until service at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Prescott Cemetery Prescott, Kansas.
