Rose Ann Gillette, 63, of Pleasanton, Kansas died Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at her home in Pleasanton. Rose was born November 8, 1953 in Kansas City, Kansas to William Arthur and Dorothy Rose (McGhann) Gillette. She graduated from Olathe High School. For a few years she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in nursing homes in Linn and Miami Counties. She was a very happy person and enjoyed spending time with her friends at Southeast Kansas Mental Health Center in Pleasanton and with her family. She was a member of Pleasanton Nazarene Church. Rose was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Barney Gillette, Howard Gillette, and Ace Gillette; and two sisters-in-law, Edna Gillette and Birdie Gillette. Survivors include two sons, Donald L. Motes, II and his wife Stephanie of Sugar Valley and Dominic Adam Wayne Motes of Baltimore, MD; one daughter, Dorothy Marie Hamlin and her husband Trevor of Kansas City, KS; two brothers and their wives, Art and JoAnn Gillette of Nevada, MO and Vester and Anita Gillette of Edgerton, KS; two sisters, Judy Good and her husband Dennis of La Cygne, and Chris Gillette Mitchell of Prescott; one sister-in-law Judy Kay Gilletee of Olathe, KS; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service for Rose will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Pleasanton Church of the Nazarene.
