Ronald Staton

Ronald Clyde Staton, 64, of Pleasanton, Kansas, died Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Olathe Medical Center. He was born March 7, 1948 at Pleasanton, Kansas, the son of Delbert and Melanie Voreiter Staton. Ron was a former English teacher at Paola, Kansas and taught extension courses at Fort Scott Community College, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Liberty Worship Center in Pleasanton, Kansas. Ron was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include one son, Tim Staton three daughters, Melanie Staton, Michelle Staton-Tally and Becky Crowthers, all of Pleasanton, Kansas; one brother Phil Staton of Stilwell, Kansas; niece and nephews, Wendy Staton, Sean Staton and Dave Edwards and grandchildren, Manon, Turpen, Kamden and Samantha Staton and Henry and Nick Tally. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM, Monday, April 30, 2012 at the Schneider Funeral Home & Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Visitation will be from 5-6 PM, prior to service time.
