Roberta Joan (Stewart)-Miner, 73, of Fulton, Kansas went home to be with Jesus on Friday October the 8, 2010 at her home. She was born April 16, 1937 in Worland, Kansas to Orville and Mary Stewart. She received her education in Fulton, Kansas. She graduated with the high school class of 1954. She furthered her education at Pittsburg State University and at Hays, Kansas. She was united in marriage to Donald E. Miner Sr. on October 17, 1954 at Fort Scott, Kansas. She managed the bakery at Farmers Market in Chanute, Kansas. She also worked as a nursing assistant and medication tech at the nursing homes Colonial Acres and Bethesda in Chanute, Kansas also at Tradition House Nursing Center in Joplin, Missouri and Mercy Covent in Fort Scott, Kansas before retiring. She enjoyed fishing, camping, horse back riding, gardening and sewing. She also enjoyed her time with her loving husband of 47 years, as well as spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed life.She is survived by her 6 children; 5 daughters and one son. Donna Young of Jefferson City, Missouri; Brenda Gross of Branson, Missouri; Debbie Koenig of Cushing, Oklahoma; Pam Butler of Purcell, Missouri; Glenda Meysami of Jefferson City, Missouri; and Donald E. Miner Jr. of Fort Scott, Kansas; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Miner Sr. As well as her parents, two sisters, two brothers, one grandson, and one great grandson. Services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday October 12, 2010 at the United Methodist Church Fulton, Kansas. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home Pleasanton, Kansas. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery at Fulton, Kansas.
