Roberta Sparks

Roberta Maxine Sparks, age 76 of LaCygne, Kansas died Thursday August 26, 2010 at her home. She was born on October 12, 1933 at LaCygne, Kansas the daughter of Harry and Vera Bennett Rhynerson. She graduated from LaCygne Rural High School. She married James Sparks on April 25, 1951 at Kansas City, Kansas; he preceded her in death on June 8, 1996. Roberta was a member of the Grinter Heights Methodist Church; she enjoyed quilting, was an avid reader, and enjoyed puzzle books. Roberta was preceded in death by her husband, both parents, a grandson Brock Barber, and a sister Della Birdsong. Survivors include a son Wes Sparks and wife Karen of Bellevue, Nebraska, a daughter Bobbi Barber and husband Sam of LaCygne, Kansas, five grandchildren; Sydney, Shelby, Kyle, Leanne, and Jessica. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday August 29, 2010 at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home LaCygne, Kansas. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Saturday August 28, 2010 at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Star Valley Cemetery near LaCygne, Kansas.
