Robert Purdy

Robert Purdy, age 77 of Mound City, Kansas died Friday January 28, 2011 at the Prescott Country View Nursing Home at Prescott, Kansas. He was born on December 8, 1933 at Trading Post, Kansas the son of Charles and Lotty Masters Purdy. He married Dorothy Cornett on December 28, 1956 at Mound City, Kansas; she preceded him in death on April 7, 2009. Bob served his country in the United States Army, he worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation, and the City Of Mound City. He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers; John Tommy, Edward Lee, Cleo, Ted, Cloice, and Frank Purdy, three sisters; Ruby Thompson, Pearl Barnett and Della Leonard. He is survived by a son, Rocky Purdy of Mound City, Kansas, a grandson; Chad Purdy of Mound City, Kansas, and a sister Leola Huntsman. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday January 31, 2011 at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home Mound City, Kansas. Burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery at Mound City, Kansas.
