Robert Godard

Robert Lee Godard, 79, of Pleasanton, Kansas, died Monday, November 14, 2011 at Kansas City Hospice House. He was born December 24, 1931 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Edmond and Hulda Toeneboehn Godard. Bob graduated from Turner High School. He married Phyllis Frary and to this union three children were born, Joseph, Jeffrey and Patricia. He later married Neva O'Dell in 1975. Bob was a self employed business owner all his life, including the Dari Kurl and Vickers Service Station in Pleasanton. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Norman, Alvin"Buck" and Raymond "Dodge" Godard; a sister, Marjorie Trowbridge and a step-son, Ernest O'Dell. Survivors include his wife, Neva of the home; his sons, Joseph Godard & Lisa of Holiday Island, Arkansas, Jeffrey Godard & Dawn of Pleasanton, Kansas; daughter, Patricia Miller of Shawnee Mission, Kansas; a brother, Edmond Godard Jr. of Tonganoxie, Kansas; stepdaughters, Kelly Moore of Paola, Kansas and Trina Welch and Bob of Spring Hill, Kansas; eight grandchildren; Eric, Alicia, Ryland, Kyle, Nicholas, Jacob, Cierra and Lucas and seven great grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Schneider Funeral Home Chapel, Pleasanton, Kansas. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until service time at the chapel.
