Robert Bousfield

Robert Wallace Bousfield, 76, of Drexel, Missouri died at 4:36 pm on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the VA Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Robert was born on October 15, 1938 in Norton, Missouri to George and Ola (Bough) Bousfield. After graduating from high school Robert enlisted in the U. S. Army and served his country as a medical technician. He was honorably discharged on July 27, 1962. On January 5, 1963 Robert married Ida Billingsley. They had one daughter, Donna. Robert was a ham radio operator and was a member of the Mine Creek Amateur Radio Club. He also served as a volunteer on the La Cygne Fire Department. Robert was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Thomas Bousfield, and two sisters, Sarah Ellen and Joyce Marie. Robert is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ida; one daughter, Donna Koehn; and one granddaughter, Tabitha Koehn. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory La Cygne Chapel. There will be a private family burial at Fort Scott National Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the Robert Bousfield Fund in care of Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O.
