Rick Querry

Rick Querry, age 58, Ottawa, Kansas formerly of Parker, Kansas died Thursday March 1, 2012. He was born on March 10, 1953 at Garnett, Kansa s the son of Clyde and Willa Brumley Querry. Rick worked in the oil fields for a short time before he was involved in an auto accident in March of 1974, which left him disabled. After the accident, he worked with dad and enjoyed operating heavy equipment. His passion was being on his John Deere tractor and taking care of the cows. He enjoyed being outdoors, going fishing and pheasant hunting with his cousins. Rick had a great sense of humor and didn't mind beating you at a game of checkers. He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde and a brother Nick. He is survived by his mother Willa Querry of Parker, Kansas, a son Brent Querry of Prescott, Kansas, a brother Bruce Querry of Parker, and five sisters: Charlotte Grimes and Nancy White both of Garnett, Kansas, Peggy Querry of Neosho Rapids, Kansas, Connie Kettler of Louisburg, Kansas and Shellyl Mesecke of Crosby, Texas. Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday March 5, 2012 at the Schneider Funeral Home, LaCygne Chapel. Burial will be in the Cadmus Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 5 PM Sunday at the Schneider LaCygne Chapel. The family suggests contributions to Parker Heritage Park or the Cadmus Cemetery.
