Richard Earl Hefflefinger, age 78, Mound City, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. He was born at Akron, Ohio on November 6, 1935 the son of Charles and Rena Lininger Hefflefinger. He was employed in various jobs including: Seven Up Deliveryman, Maytag Repairman, Union Pacific and most recently as Supervisor of Norton, Ohio''s street department. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He was married to Ivis Chamblin on March 21, 1959 at Salina, Kansas. Richard was a member of the Mound City United Methodist Church serving on the administrative board, NRA and he enjoyed working with wood. He is survived by his wife Ivis, daughters; Jacqueline "Cracker Jack" Russell, and Connie Sue Stout and husband Charles, three grandchildren: Charles Earl and Richard Everette Stout, and Copper Jo Burkhart, and three great grandchildren: Breana, Brittany and Brycen. Visitation will be held 6 to 7 PM Friday, August 1, 2014 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. Cremation will follow visitation.
