Richard Heaton

Richard "Dickie" Heaton, age 70, passed away on Saturday December 3, 2016 at his home in Hume, Missouri. Richard was born April 14, 1946 in Fort Scott, Kansas the son of Arthur and Edna Hutton Heaton. Dickie as his friends knew him enjoyed rodeos, bull riding and horses, but it was his love of fishing that was his passion. He worked as a shelving fabricator for 18 years at Thorco in Butler, Missouri before retiring. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, John, Bill, Claude and infant brother, James. He is survived by two sons, Shawn, Charles and his wife, Michelle, a daughter Angie Hurd and husband, David, two sisters Pearl Campbell and Mary Belangy and Larry, two grandchildren, Kourtney Harper and Alex Heaton. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 10 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. The family suggest contributions to the Hume Food Pantry and may be sent to the funeral home in c/o Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory P.O. Box J Mound City, KS 66056.
