Reta Arnold

Reta Fern Arnold, 81, of Pleasanton, Kansas, died Saturday, November 12, 2005 at Mercy Health Center, Fort Scott, Kansas. She was born August 23, 1924, near Amoret, Missouri, the daughter of Leonard and Hazel Harris Jones. She was the third of seven children. She married Glenn Arnold on October 31, 1942. She had worked for Baker's Thriftway, the printing office and also 1st State Bank. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Pleasanton and the Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include her husband, Glenn of Pleasanton, Kansas; one son, Ronald Arnold and wife, Anita of Leon, Kansas; one daughter, Ronda Ruby of Mission, Texas; four brothers, Elvin, Gerald, Verl and Leon Jones; two sisters, Phyllis Reid and Norma Adams and five grandchildren Cale, Chase and Chelsea Ruby and Dani and Cody Arnold. Services were held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Pleasanton, Kansas. Contributions are suggested to the First Christian Church. Interment will be in Pleasanton Cemetery.
