Reitha L. Bosshardt, 86, of Olathe, Kansas, died Thursday, October 13, 2005 at Royal Terrace Nursing & Rehabilitation in Olathe. She was born September 10, 1919 in Ranger, Texas, the daughter of Eldon and Mona Cook Kastl. She married Gene Sutterby and to this union three children were born; Steven, David and Mona. She later married Harvey Bosshardt who preceded her. Prior to her retirement, she was a cook at the Lansing Penitentiary and also worked at the Johnson County Mental Retardation Center. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Olathe and the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death also by three brothers, Robert, Eldon and Calvin Kastl. Survivors include two sons; Steven Sutterby and wife, Mel of Louisburg, Kansas and David Sutterby and wife, Betty of Olathe, Kansas; one daughter, Mona Sadler and husband, Ron of Olathe, Kansas; six step children; two brothers, Melvin Kastl of California and Sherman Kastl of Arizona; one sister, Elva Robinson of Blue Mound, Kansas; three grandchildren; Ted Sutterby, Lora Winslow and Lisa Sutterby; six great grandchildren; ten step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, October 17, 2005 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Mound City, Kansas. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM, Sunday at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel. Contributions are suggested to Sunny Slope Cemetery. Interment will be in Sunny Slope Cemetery, Blue Mound, Kansas.
