Regina Johnson

Regina Clara (Jean) Johnson, 78, of Pleasanton, Kansas, died Friday, August 31, 2012 at the home of her niece, Kimberly Berry after a battle with cancer. She was born February 18, 1934 in Ambler, Pennsylvania, the daughter of John and Gertrude Wiley Bender. She married Gary Johnson on November 8, 1958 at Ambler, Pennsylvania. Jean worked as a bookkeeper in banking and as a school librarian. She was a member of the Bykota Southern Baptist Church in Pleasanton. She was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters, Gail and Cheryl. Survivors include her husband, Gary, of Pleasanton, Kansas; two sons; Donald Johnson and Debbie of Raytown, Missouri and Brian Johnson and Robin of Grandview, Missouri; one brother, Johnnie Bender; one sister, Gerry Perry; five grandchildren; Samantha, Allen, Daniel, Kris and Terry and seven great grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the Bykota Southern Baptist Church, Pleasanton, Kansas. Friends may call from 10:00 until service time at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Bykota Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Pleasanton Cemetery. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
