Reba Ayers

Reba Maxine Ayers, age 95, lifelong Linn County resident, died Sunday December 6, 2009 at Prescott Country View. She was born on April 27, 1914 at Pleasanton, Kansas the daughter of Roe and Cora M. Sewright Henderson. She was married to Chester Barton Ayers who preceded her in death in March of 1958. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Cherry Lee Ayers and Mary Ann Agard and three sisters: Mildred Lorene Jennings, Bernice Jennings, and Wilda Belle Bartlett. Reba was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mound City. She is survived by three sons: Robert Ayers and Vickie of Eldorado Springs, Missouri, Roger Ayers of Blue Mound, Kansas and David Ayers and Linda of Mound City, fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday December 11, 2009 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel in Mound City, Kansas. Burial will be in the Pleasanton Cemetery.
