Raymond Poole

Raymond Leonard Poole, age 92, Mound City, Kansas passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015 at the Olathe Hospice House. He was born on July 15, 1923 at Centerville, Kansas the son of Warren and Nellie King Poole. He graduated from Mound City High School. He served his Country in the United States Navy During World War II. He married Ruth Sherman on July 22, 1946 at Olathe, Kansas. He was a member of the American Legion Hewitt New Post 248. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Alva and Marion Poole, two sisters, Hazel Jamison and Dorothy Elliott. Raymond is survived by his wife Ruth, a son Jerry Poole and wife Linda, two grandchildren, Shanna Connolly and husband Branden, and Christopher Poole and wife Niamh, and three great grand daughters, Ella, Ava and Sophia Connolly. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 2015 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. Contributions are suggested to the Olathe Hospice House.
