Ray Gaston

Ray Eugene Gaston, age 77 died April 20, 2010 at his home in Amsterdam, Missouri. He was born October 31, 1932 at Rosedale, Kansas the son of George and Ossie Allen Gaston. He was a United States Veteran serving in the Navy and Army. Ray married Helen DeBoard on April 19, 1951 at Kansas City, Missouri; she preceded him in death on November 30,2002. Ray enjoyed the outdoors, tinkering on his vehicles, loved his dogs, and beer. He was also preceded in death by his parents, a son; Ray Eugene Gaston JR., a brother; George Gaston, and an infant grandson Joseph Crim. Survivors include two sons; Michael Gaston of Amoret, Missouri, and Steven Gaston of Adrian, Missouri, four daughters; Patricia Crim of Amsterdam, Missouri, Beverly Young of Amoret, Missouri, Karan Kisner of Nebraska, and Wanda Procter of Russellville, Missouri, five brothers; Bill Gaston, Chuck Gaston,David Gaston, Mark Gaston, John Gaston, three sisters; Barbra Isabelle, Glorie Poke and MaryEllen Steward, fifteen grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren. Services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, April 23 at the Atkinson Funeral Home 142 E. Main Street, Adrian, Missouri. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 22 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm at the Atkinson Funeral Home, Adrian, Missouri. Burial will be in the Scott Cemetery near Amsterdam, Missouri.
