Ralph Earl Franklin, age 46, of Hume, Missouri died Saturday September 24, 2011 at Mercy Health Center, Fort Scott, Kansas. He was born on September 8, 1965 at Fort Scott the son of Charles and Jeannie Miller Franklin. He graduated from Hume High School in 1983 attended welding school at Fort Scott Community College. He married Jimmie Luther on May 18, 1985 at Fort Scott. He was the owner operator of Franklin's Tractor Parts. Ralph was a member of the Hume Christian Church, President of the Hume School Board, was active in the Hume Ball Association and Athletic Booster Club, and was the Bates County 4H Shooting Sports coach. He is survived by his wife Jimmie Franklin of Hume, two sons, Caleb and Cody Franklin of Hume, a daughter Tiffany Ogle and Clay of St. Joseph, Missouri, parents, Charley and Jeannie Franklin of Hume, a brother Geno Franklin and Lucy of Hume, and grandson Colton Ogle. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Wednesday September 28, 2011 at the Hume School. Burial will be in the Hume Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday at the Hume Christian Church.
