Pearl Sommers

Pearl Irene Sommers, age 80, of Linn Valley, Kansas, passed away August 7, 2006, at the St. Mary's Manor in Blue Springs, Missouri. Pearl was born October 5, 1925 in Bluffton, Indiana to Raymond and Blanche Ehret Smith. Pearl graduated high school in Vanburen, Indiana and then went on to work as an LPN for Anaconda Wire and Cable where she met Web Sommers. On March 15, 1946 Pearl married Web Sommers in Jonesboro, Indiana. Pearl was a homemaker and member of the Linn Valley Community Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Web on September 16, 2005, and one brother Calvin Smith. Pearl is survived by one son Bill Sommers and wife Alisha of McKinney, Texas, a daughter Gloria Fowler and husband Ted of Blue Springs, Missouri, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Thursday, August 10, 2006 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel in LaCygne, Kansas. Committal service will be at 3:30 PM at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Overland Park, Kansas. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, LaCygne.
