Pauline Lucinda Woody, 96, of Pleasanton, Kansas passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 at her home. Pauline was born January 13, 1920 in Calumet, Oklahoma to George W. and Lucinda (Harrison) Woody. During her formative years she lived in Lamar, Missouri and always considered Lamar as home. At the age of 13 she moved with her family to Bloomington, Illinois. After Pauline graduated from high school she attended Indianapolis (IN) Business College for two years. In 1954 she moved to Beverly Hills, California where she made her home for the next 60 years. She worked in the movie industry as an accountant. She was also extremely active politically with the Republican party. In May of 2014, Pauline moved to Pleasanton due to her declining health. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Merle, Freeman, Wayne, William, Arvan, and Robert; and four sisters, Viola, Martha, Arvie, and Alice. She is survived by one sister, Nan Collins of Lovington, New Mexico; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at the First Christian Church in Pleasanton. Pauline's wishes were to be cremated and buried in Lake Cemetery, Lamar, MO with her family. The family suggests memorials to the cemetery. Donations may be mailed to Lake Cemetery, 201 W. 10th Street, Lamar, MO 64759. Arrangements: Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel.
