Paul Franklin Stogsdill, 85, of Pleasanton, Kansas passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Prescott Country View Nursing Home. He was born in Karval, Colorado on July 21, 1932 the youngest of 13 children to the late Alexander and Sarah (Cross) Stogsdill. Paul married the late Shirley Ann McGown from Mound City, KS on July 2, 1955, in Raton, New Mexico. They lived in Oregon, Colorado, and Kansas during their lifetime. He was employed as an individual home contractor with Aluminum Lux-Scott in Denver, CO. Paul and Shirley owned and operated the Midway Motel in Pleasanton, KS from 1972 to 2003. Paul was preceded in death by his wife Shirley; eight brothers; Wilford, Corwin, Ottis, Ora, Roy, Jay, Sidney, and Lee Stogsdill; three sisters; Dolly, Mary, and Elsie, and a grandson Justin Stogsdill. Survivors include; one sister; Beulah, two sons; Gregory Stogsdill of Pleasanton,KS and Michael and Sally Stogsdill of Knoxville,TN; two daughters; Ramona and Keith Holland and Shirlene and Dean Johnson of Prescott, KS; five grandchildren; Jennifer, Jason, Tricia, Kyle and Mickayla; five great grandchildren; Raven, Mercedes, Trysta, Alexis, and Axel. Paul's wishes were to have a private family service at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to Prescott Country View activity fund.
